Node.js Development

When a driver's location, an order status or a chat message needs to reach every screen the moment it changes, we build the backend in Node.js — event-driven, typed with TypeScript and designed to stay responsive as traffic grows.

  • Node.js
  • TypeScript
  • Socket.IO
  • MongoDB
  • PostgreSQL
  • Supabase

The problem

Teams lose hours every week waiting for information that already exists somewhere.

01

Customers keep calling for status

Where's my order? Where's the driver? The answer is in the system, but not on their screen.

02

Dispatch works from stale data

Decisions are made on information that was correct twenty minutes ago.

03

The backend buckles at peak

Morning order rushes and promotions slow everything down at the worst time.

04

Notifications arrive late — or twice

Messages are sent by cron jobs instead of the events that should trigger them.

An event-driven Node.js backend pushes the change the moment it happens — to every browser, phone and system that needs it.

Overview

Node.js runs JavaScript on the server and handles many simultaneous connections efficiently, which makes it a natural fit for live dashboards, tracking, chat and notification systems. Using TypeScript on both front end and backend means one language and shared types across the whole product.

We design around events: an order is placed, a status changes, a payment clears. Each event updates the database, notifies connected clients over WebSockets with Socket.IO, and triggers emails, SMS or webhooks where needed.

Data lives in PostgreSQL when it's relational, MongoDB when documents fit better, or Supabase when you want auth, storage and a database managed together.

Built for

  • Logistics and delivery operations
  • Ordering platforms with live status
  • Apps with chat or in-app messaging
  • Teams standardising on TypeScript

Choose this when…

  • Information needs to update on screen without a refresh
  • You have many users connected at the same time
  • Your front end is React, Next.js or React Native
  • The backend mostly coordinates APIs and events

What we provide

01

Backend & API development

Typed REST APIs with validation, auth and clear error handling.

02

Real-time features

Live updates over WebSockets with Socket.IO — rooms, presence and reconnection handled.

03

Tracking & location services

Live vehicle and delivery positions streamed to dispatch and customers.

04

Notification systems

Event-driven push, email and SMS that fire once, at the right moment.

05

Chat & messaging

One-to-one and group messaging inside your web or mobile app.

06

Performance & scaling

Profiling, caching and query tuning for Node.js services under load.

Use cases

Fleet & delivery tracking

Live positions, ETAs and proof-of-delivery updates.

Live operations dashboards

Orders, stock and exceptions updating as they happen.

Customer chat & support

Messaging between customers, sales reps and support staff.

Alerting systems

Temperature, stock and SLA alerts sent the moment thresholds are crossed.

Mobile app backends

APIs and push notifications for React Native apps.

Integration services

Glue between your ERP, store, payment and messaging providers.

Outcomes

01

Fewer "where is it?" calls

Customers see live status themselves.

02

Decisions on current data

Dispatch and operations work from what's happening now.

03

Stable at peak times

An event-driven design that handles many connections efficiently.

04

One language across the stack

TypeScript from database to screen makes the team faster.

Why us

We know operations software

Logistics, ordering and distribution are the industries we work in.

TypeScript everywhere

Shared types mean fewer mismatches between app and API.

Web and mobile together

The same team builds the backend and the apps using it.

Secure by design

Authenticated sockets, validated payloads and least-privilege access.

FAQ

When is Node.js a better choice than PHP?

Node.js shines with real-time features and many simultaneous connections — tracking, chat, live dashboards. PHP/Laravel is often simpler for admin-heavy apps with standard request-response pages. We use both and recommend based on the project.

Can Node.js work alongside our existing PHP system?

Yes. A common pattern is to keep the PHP system as the source of truth and add a Node.js service for real-time updates, connected through webhooks or a shared database.

Which database do you use with Node.js?

PostgreSQL for relational data, MongoDB for document-shaped data, and Supabase when managed auth and storage help. The choice depends on your data, not on habit.

How do you secure real-time connections?

Every socket connection is authenticated with a JWT, users only join the channels they're allowed to see, and every message is validated before it's processed.
